Cleaning
CAUTION - To avoid injury, use alternate method if grease such as bacon drippings or excess cooking oil is present in the trough.
- While the griddle is still hot, pour approximately one quarter cup of water on the griddle surface (this will loosen most of the cooking residue)
- Use a wide scraper to quickly move the loosened residue to the grease trough (use alternate method if grease is present in the trough)
- If necessary, pour a little more water on the griddle surface and break remaining residue loose with a griddle scrubber
- Once again, use a wide scraper to move all remaining residue to the trough
- Use the scraper with a handful of paper towels to carefully clean out the grease trough
